New: Methadone training in Porto!!!!
Welcome to the home page of Euro-Methwork
Euro-Methwork is a forum for those who are active in the methadone field in the European Region, i.e. practitioners, researchers, policy makers, but also heroin users, their friends and families.
Recently, we have started carrying out our plans for 2002-2003. Main items we will work on are (1) a training package for those working in substitution treatment and (2) a briefing for policymakers. For more information click here
We have a database with addresses of many methadone providers in the European Region. We have called this the Methadone Assistance Point (MAP). Besides addresses we also collect information about intake criteria, waiting lists, treatment protocols, treatment regimen etc., so that new clients know what to expect.
Regularly, Euro-Methwork publishes a Newsletter in English.
Recently, we put together the European Methadone Guidelines. They are available in English, French, Spanish and German
Many people who are setting up methadone programmes need support. This can range from the question where to buy methadone, should we use an automated methadone dispenser, what sort of software do we need, how do we train the staff etc. We might be able to help you out.
