The centre employs 9 professionals of which 1 doctor, 1 psychiatrists, 1 psychologist, 3 social workers, 2 educators and 1 administrator.
Treatment philosophy is based upon harm reduction offering detoxification and maintenance programmes. The average dose of methadone prescribed is 70 mg.

Centre de Drogodependencias "CINCO VILLAS"
 
The centre employs one doctor.
Treatment philosophy is based upon harm reduction offering maintenance programmes. The average dose of methadone prescribed is 80 mg.
Currently the centre treats 24 patients, with a maximum capacity of 50 patients.
There is no maximum duration of treatment and no waiting list.
 
The centre offers:

- other medication
- prevention and post-care
- special target group: HIV/Aids
- treatment of cocaine and MDMA abuse
 
The centre demands urine checks.
 
Violence can get patient expelled from treatment.

The centre should be informed beforehand by fax and/or phone.
The information necessary is:

- dose and period for which methadone is requested
- references where information can be checked
 
There are no costs involved.
 
If patient want to enter the programme on a permanent basis the procedures are no different.

This treatment unit is only accessible for patients living in the healthcare area of the the Hospital. The centre does not treat patients from other districts or from abroad.
