The centre employs 6 professionals of which 2 doctors, 2 nurses a psychiatrist, 1 administrator and a psychologist. The centre treats 400 patients with a maximum capacity of 200 patients.
Treatment philosophy of this centre is based upon harm reduction offering prevention, detoxification and maintenance programmes. The average dose of methadone prescribed is 50 mg. There is no waiting list. There is no maximum duration of treatment.

Non-attendance or violence can get patient expelled from treatment.
Procedures for taking patient for a SHORT period of TIME:
The centre should be informed beforehand by fax, phone or letter.
The information necessary is:
- identity
- treatment history
- references where information can be checked
- dose and period for which methadone is requested
 
When visiting the patient does not have to bring a letter from his doctor.
There are no costs involved for the patient

Additional information:

The centre organises group therapy, has links with other centres and social workers from the centre for social work.
Official forms for customs, police, medical committees etc. to make sure the patient does not encounter legal problems in case of different policies on methadone of the country to be visited exist.
