About Euro-Methwork

Euro-Methwork was a forum for those who are active in the substitution treatment field in the European Region, i.e. practitioners, researchers, policy makers, but also heroin users, their friends and families. 'Meth' in Methwork used to refer to methadone. However, since a number of other substances became available in the treatment of heroin addiction,  'Meth' referred to 'MEdically assisted Treatment of Heroin addiction'
The  mission of the network was 'to improve the quality of pharmacotherapy in addiction treatment (often referred to as substitution treatment) and ameliorate the accessibility for all those who need this kind of treatment'.
