Principles for accepting funds

• Funding will not be accepted if conditions thereby attached compromise our ability to speak independently, including the ability to criticise funders.
• Policies, positions, advice and practices will be based the fullest possible understanding of available scientific and other evidence. We will adhere to the highest professional, scientific, and ethical standards in conducting our business, whatever the source of funding.
• We will aim for a diversified funding base.
• Funding sources will be transparent, which means that funding sources will be displayed publicly (eg on the website) by funding category.
• Whenever accepting funds from the Beverage Alcohol Industry, we will be bound by the Dublin Principles of Cooperation among the Beverage Alcohol Industry, Governments, Scientific Researchers, and the Public Health Community.
